Before you start
Is the Standard Model suitable for beginners?+
Yes. Its compact format and getting-started guide are designed to make the first steps easier. We recommend practising first on a spare piece of fabric.
How is it different from the Large Model?+
The Standard is round and compact. The Large Model is rectangular and measures 18 × 7.5 cm. Both use a 14-hook mechanism.
Should the wooden circle remain visible during the repair?+
No. The support sits behind the garment and should be covered by the textile while you work. Only the useful working area and mechanism remain accessible.
Can I create a contrasting patch?+
Yes. Choose contrasting threads to turn the repair into a decorative detail, or similar shades for a subtler finish.
